I come from small business roots in Eastern Ontario. As a teenager, I worked alongside my father in our local hardware store, and that experience stayed with me. It taught me that small businesses are not just places that sell products or services. We are part of the fabric of a community, and when we do well, the whole community benefits. That is still what drives my work today as a small business solopreneur.

Over the years, my interest in communication and technology grew into a much broader professional path. In 1990, I founded TELOS, an early communications venture that grew into an internet and community college distance education provider. That experience helped shape the way I think about technology: it should be fun to use, user-friendly, and genuinely useful to real people making work more effective and efficient.

Today, my company Joe Ramsay and Associates helps small businesses put better systems in place to support growth. My work includes high ranking websites, automated lead generation systems, and modern business communication tools including UCaaS phone and messaging platforms. I am especially interested in helping local businesses move beyond disconnected tools and put simple systems in place that help them generate leads, respond to customers quickly, and grow stronger in the communities they serve.
